  • Parenting 101 is a judgment-free, laughter-filled crash course for new parents and parents-to-be who want to learn the essentials of raising a happy, healthy little human (while keeping some sanity and sense of humor intact).

    Join us, and let’s figure it out together. Baby steps, literally.

    You’ll learn:

    • Receive a hands on skills session on choking procedures for an infant.

    • What to actually do with a newborn (besides panic and Google everything at 3 a.m.)

    • List of equipment when it comes to setting up your newborns room and go bag.

    • Schedules, apps, and tools to help you manage.

    • Diapers, burps, swaddles, and other adorable bodily functions.

    • Putting diapers on a human that won’t stop moving.

    • How to survive sleepless nights without becoming a coffee-based life form

    • How to set boundaries

    • Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors.

    • Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business.

    • The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business.

    • This course, which includes a final exam at the end, takes about 4 hours to complete.

    • Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate.

  • Select Certificate Provider Required:

    • Training focuses on recognizing/responding to the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.

    • Understand the appropriate first aid care to provide based on the person's breathing and level of responsiveness.

    • Learn how to give naloxone using several different products -- a nasal atomizer, Narcan ® Nasal Spray and EVZIO ® -- to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

    • Recommended for facilities, community organizations, and schools, but can be taken by any professional.

    • *Course is an add on to First Aid. First Aid course is required to be taken simultaneously.

    • Training teaches you the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis.

    • Learn how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction including how to administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device. 

    • *Course is an add on to First Aid.

    • Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace.

    • The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.

    • This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

    • Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year.
