Who is required to take a First Aid/CPR/AED course?

Please refer to your state regulations. However, below are a few professions that have been listed to require training. Here is a good resource for additional information.

  • Childcare Providers (this can be anyone having regular 1-1 contact with youth)

  • Law Enforcement

  • Healthcare Professionals (Basic Life Support required)

  • Athletic Trainers

  • Coaches & Educators

  • Physical Therapist

  • Personal Trainers

How often do you need to re-certify?

Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED has a 2 year recertification period. Most courses follow similar guidelines.

Guidelines state to re-certify every 2 years. We recommend re-certifying prior to your Certification expiring. If done prior, a renewal course may only be required.

What is the best attire to wear to an in-person class?

Closed toe shoes and casual comfort is recommended. You will need to move around and do compressions.

Why take life-saving or skills training courses (I’m not required)?

Emergency situations can happen any time or anywhere. We hope it will bring a sense of comfort knowing you are prepared and proactive.
